About
You will be fully integrated into our client’s remote engineering team operations and dynamics.
Product: Adventure booking platform
Responsibilities
- Manage Linux servers (CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu) – monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and keep systems running smoothly
- Set up, secure, and manage AWS infrastructure
- Maintain monitoring and alerting systems (Elastic Stack)
- Monitor system and network performance and optimize as needed
- Keep records of maintenance, outages, and configuration changes
- Help with infrastructure planning and scaling
- Set up CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket or GitHub)
- Create and support test environments for QA
- Manage containerized environments (Docker, ECS)
- Maintain internal DevOps tools written in Python or Golang
- Follow best practices to ensure consistent and reliable operations
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity plans

What you bring
- 5+ years of experience with Linux servers
- 2+ years managing public websites using Nginx, Apache, MySQL, Redis, php-fpm
- 2+ years managing and securing AWS infrastructure (certification is a plus)
- Experience scripting in Python and Bash
- Hands-on with automation tools like Ansible
- Experience with Docker and container management
- Solid understanding of internet protocols and distributed systems
- Familiarity with tools like LVM, KVM, NFS, PostgreSQL, Memcached, OpenVPN, backup systems
- Experience with Git and CI/CD (Bitbucket Pipelines preferred)
- Willingness to work with or learn Python or Golang
Nice to have
- Experience with Elastic Stack and Grafana
- Knowledge of IT best practices (ITIL a plus)
- Web development basics: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js
- Experience with LAMP stack or MVC frameworks (Laravel, Symfony)
