About
You will be fully integrated into our client’s remote engineering team operations and dynamics.
As a Team Lead, you’ll guide a team of 2–4 engineers responsible for all tour and operator content integrations, booking APIs, and internal tools that power high-quality travel experiences. You’ll combine hands-on coding with architecture and mentoring, working closely with the COO to shape the backend of our Adventure Booking Platform

Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and support a small team of engineers
- Own and evolve importer systems and booking integrations
- Use AI to optimize workflows and content quality
- Design scalable and secure systems for internal tools and external APIs
- Collaborate with leadership, product, and other tech teams
- Ensure high standards in code quality, testing, CI/CD, and performance
- Foster a culture of learning, growth, and knowledge sharing

What you bring
- 6+ years of web development experience, ideally across frontend and backend (LAMP stack)
- 2+ years of Tech Lead experience
- Fluent in multiple programming languages (PHP, Python, Go, TypeScript)
- Experience with PHP frameworks like Laravel, Symfony
- Solid understanding of APIs (REST, SOAP, XML-RPC)
- Experience with microservices.
- Experience with RDBMS (schema design, indices, caching)
- Experience with testing and automation tools (e.g. PHPUnit, Codeception, Behat)
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD and cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS)
- Ability to identify and solve performance and scalability challenges
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A proactive, curious mindset and a desire to drive meaningful change
